Smulekoff's, the home furnishings leader in Cedar Rapids, offers a flexible group of credit terms, including everyday interest-free terms and budget plans that can be customized to meet your needs.

Unlike many retailers, Smulekoff's issued credit privately for over 100 years. When you finance with us your information is not sold to a second party. It stays at our store in Cedar Rapids, IA. Your payments are handled in our store. Finance associates are right here and available to help you with your credit 7 days a week.

We are often able to assist people who have blemishes on their credit record and may not be eligible for financing at many other stores.

Perfect or less than perfect credit - we can tailor a finance package, including payment protection, most suitable for your financial needs.

Smulekoff's has more than 23,000 items for the home in our 3 acre showroom everyday. Occasionally, we don't have the item you are looking for in stock. When this happens, we are happy to custom order from any of our manufacturers, with a minimum of 25% down and approved credit.

30 Day Interest Free Terms

The thirty day interest free plan allows you to purchase items and defer payment until one month after the date of delivery. The balance will remain interest free for this entire length of time! This plan also provides flexibility by allowing you to carry a balance over a longer period of time. Each month beyond the initial interest free period requires a monthly payment of 5% of the balance or $25.00, whichever is greater. Interest will accrue at 19.5% APR. Purchases on this plan require a minimum 25% down payment on in-stock and special order items.

This plan is perfect for financing special order merchandise because payments are deferred until after the date of delivery. It is simple to use and you will receive a statement each month in the mail.

30, 60, 90 Day Interest Free Terms

This plan allows you to purchase items and defer your 1st payment until one month after the date of delivery. You are also entitled to spread the payments over three months, while the balance remains interest free. A 25% down payment is required for in-stock and special order items. The payments are simply the entire balance divided by 3.One payment is due each month for 3 months. You will receive statements in the mail.

This plan is perfect for financing special order merchandise because payments are deferred until the date of delivery. It is the easiest financing plan we offer!

Budget Terms

This plan is designed to tailor a financing package to meet your needs. We extend financing up to 36 months with monthly payments as low as $25.00.

This plan accrues interest at a rate of 19.5% APR. Unlike credit cards, the finance charge is computed upfront so you will know the full term of the loan immediately. This plan requires a minimum down payment of 25% on in-stock and special order items.

In addition to its flexibility, this plan is ideal for a tight budget because we offer credit protection to our customers for as little as pennies a day!

Layaway Terms

This plan allows you to purchase merchandise without credit approval. Delivery of your purchase will follow full payment. A 10% down payment is required. The balance will be divided into 6 equal interest-free monthly payments. Statements will be sent by mail each month. Following that, 6 payments equaling 1/6th of the balance are due monthly while your balance stays interest free. Any layaway more than 30 days delinquent will be cancelled and the 10% down payment is kept as restocking fee. If the order is cancelled after 30 days, the 10% down payment is also kept as a restocking fee.

Smulekoff's is happy to announce that we can add a little more security and peace of mind for you, your family, your investment and your credit. We now offer life insurance, disability insurance, property insurance (including flood loss) and involuntary unemployment insurance to protect your purchase with us.
